Expert in Organic Production Requirements & Market Monitoring – Consulting for Ministries and Institutions in Non-EU Countries

Unlocking EU Markets

Ensuring Effective Control and Fostering Trust in Organic Trade

My Work as an Independent Expert

As an independent consultant, I support institutions and ministries outside the EU in developing and optimizing control systems for organic products. My goal is to facilitate market access to the EU by strengthening regulatory frameworks and improving market oversight mechanisms.

With extensive experience in EU organic regulations and a long-term hands-on work in a control body, I understand both the regulatory requirements and the challenges of implementation on the ground. This unique combination enables me to develop practical, tailored solutions for different countries and projects.

Key Areas of Expertise:

Regulatory Consulting: Analyzing and optimizing national legislation in alignment with EU requirements
Strategy Development: Enhancing the efficiency and credibility of control systems
Workshops & Training: Knowledge transfer on organic standards, market requirements, and control mechanisms
Risk Assessment & Quality Assurance: Strengthening the integrity of the organic market through in-depth risk analysis

My work focuses on building sustainable structures. The objective is to provide long-term benefits for both producers and regulatory authorities.

Let’s work together to maximize market opportunities for organic products in the EU!

My Experience

The countries where I have recently worked as a consultant include Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova, and India. While my work in India focused on specific challenges related to exporting organic products to the EU, my efforts in Ukraine and Moldova were primarily aimed at aligning their organic regulations with EU legislation and ensuring the effective implementation of these laws.

Since 2021, I have been working at the Bavarian State Institute for Agriculture, the authority responsible for overseeing the organic product market in Bavaria. My work is interdisciplinary, with a particular focus on developing the control system for imported organic products that must undergo inspection before being released for free circulation. This area is now organized within a dedicated working group, which I lead.

Through my many years of experience at a private certification body until early 2021, I have gained in-depth expertise in the inspection and certification of organic farms, processing companies, and beekeeping operations.

Agricultural Education – Theory & Practice

Through my studies in General Agricultural Sciences and my two-year training as a farmer—including a practical training year on an organically managed farm—I have gained both theoretical and practical knowledge of organic farming.
